西の富士、東の筑波、共に名だたる霊峰である。 筑波山は古来より関東平野に鎮座する霊峰として尊崇を集めている。 女体山、男体山からなる連山の姿は輝くほどに美しい。 頂上のはんれい岩の岩塊は、日光を受けて黒い重厚な光を放つ。 ピラミッドとみなしうるその山容を大洗の海岸から望めば、 まさに、クフ王とメンカフラー王のピラミッドの連座にも似て…。 拝殿の筑波山神社から頂上に至る参道には、魅惑の巨石が群れをなす。 Western Mt.Fuji and eastern Mt.Tsukuba are both famous sacred mountains. Mt.Tsukuba,sittng in the midst of the Kanto plain, has long been respected by people as the most sacred one. Ranging mountains made up with Jyotai-san and Dantai-san gives us brilliant fine view. The surface of gabbros at the summit emits deep blacky light against the sun shine. If you look up to the figure of the mountain regarded as a pyramid , it could remind you an implication of the King's Pyramids in Egypt. Beside of the sacred road from Tsukubasan shrine to the top, a school of mysterious huge rocks are waiting for you.

夢に見し輝く丘に続く道、筑波の神神大岩篭もり………泰山

Beyond the road to the shining hill in my dream,

gods and goddes of Tsukuba are now resting in stones.
